Default Basic tuning

Hey there, just picked up a 2003 standard WRX with 52k. It's going to be used as a company car but i'd like some more power without being too obvious. Not going mad or anything but minor gaind would be nice. I've been pointed towards a superchip, K&N and both cat replacement pipes. I'm new to the subaru world so any advice would be good and also what sort of gains i'd get. I'm open to suggestions but keep in mind it can't look out of place

Please help with ideas and rough prices and suppliers

As i said, new to the impreza world!

Hi there if you are running TD04,with remap(Open source 350£ or Ecutek 550£ excluding VAT) and supported mods(K&N panel filter, full decat exhaust) you will see 270-280BHP.
But i recommend you VF34-35(some guys selling this VF35 for 250£),STi pink injectors(here guys selling for 150-180£),Walbro 255l fuel pump(cost around 60-90£) and if you find STi TMIC(these TMIC are good for 400-450bhp)and after this you will see 330-350BHP

I wouldnt recommend superchips for your impreza. A custom map is a far better solution as it is tailored to your car precisely so will make better power as well as being safer.

With the decats and air filter and custom remap you would be looking at around the 280bhp mark and it will transform the driveability of the car. I charge £350 for a full remap.

Going further than that and changing turbo, injectors, tmic, fuel pump, etc etc is relatively quite an expensive step but can always be done down the line when/if you get used to the increased power.

Where in the country are you?

I dont think superchips are favoured in Impreza tuning circles. Look for Dynamix , jollygreenmonster, Bob Rawle, Andy Forrest etc. You wont go far wrong.

superchips solution is a piggyback and is not worth doing when the standard ecu can be remapped.

Ref DYNAMIX- I'm based in Lisburn, just outside Belfast. 280 might not sound that impressive to some here but for a rep mobile it's perfect!
