Question windscreen washers stopped working

hi all, my windscreen washers have suddenly stopped working, could it be the motor, and are there any diagrams of where this is, or might there be anything else?
It's a 2001 bugeye wagon.

Cheers

Could be fuse, check that first.
Do you own a circuit tester? If not, buy one, ( a good one can be had for about £4, it has a brass body with a point on one end for piercing insulation, and a metre of wire on the other end terminating in a crociodile clip), and test the motor is getting current when you operate the switch. Use a meter or the ct to test the motor is earthed.

Listen to the motor to see if it's running. Check all pipes are in place.
Check washer jets aren't blocked.

check fuse. You can tell if its blown by looking at it, if its fine then you should at least hear the motor operate, if not then its new pump.

ok, all fuses are fine, there is no noise at all from anything, where is the pump located, and do you know roughly how much for one, and is it easy enough to replace?

Pump will probs be connected to the washer fluid reservoir on the outside, so remove the resevoir, disconnect the pump wiring and remove the pump - theyre quite small, the water that left in there will obviously pour out when you remove it though...

Fairly easy to remove and fit a new one, not that expensive either

Oh, and they DO jam when any crap gets into the impellor, it's worth giving the pump a backwards rinse in hot water, then trying it again, before binning it.
