Trying to find out if the centre diff in my gearbox is same as any others, Ive tried finding a nakered box with a good diff but failed, I can get another full box for around the £300 mark. but could do wi a buggered box wi a good diff

im pretty sure the vn part of your code means its a uk box which means all uk boxes will have the same diff ratio, its either vf or vn one is import one is uk, keep these letters the same and you should be ok

 

vb is the jap one with a diff ratio of 4.111 you need the vn box(uk box) and you can pick them up for around £200 if you shop around on here or ebay

 

Your car uses a vicious coupling centre diff, there is a list of different transmissions available in the tech archieves, you should be able to pick a second hand one up from places like grade a subaru or any other decent breakers tbh, all the uk ones should fit.

Tried grade a, he wa sure he'd got one so i got all giddy lol then rung him back but he couldnt find it
