Default STi QuickRack for Newage - Difference easily noticable?

Hi guys

ive got a EU import bugeye sti which i assume doesnt have the sti quick rack steering the jdm cars come with.

2 questions really, would a change to the quick rack be easily noticable? what are its characteristics?

also are they different degrees of quick rack or are they all the same ? i.e. a jdm sti quick rack and an spec c or ra-r quick rack? botht he same? or one better than the other?

may be able to get hold of one but it does have a bit of a price to it.

Thanks

Eddy

I fitted one to my 2005 STI. Made a big difference IMO. Steering feels much sharper.
A very worth while modification.
All the JDM ones are the same.

Its only the JDM cars that had the 'quick rack' fitted.

I wouldn't say its lighter, sharper and makes driving on track much easier.

Definitely a worthwhile modification mate. I got a JDM 13:1 rack fitted onto my uk STI hatch and it made a very noticeable difference. Weightier and much sharper. I loved it, but too bad the VDC wouldn't work with it, so i had to return to the uk rack (15:1)

I had a quick rack fitted by API years back. Would like to see what a 'normal' car feels like now, LOL
