inlet manifold - which paint?
Hi all.. i am wanting to repaint the inlet manifold red on my 96 STI and was just wondering if anyone could advise of the correct paint to use..?
Originally it seemed to have a crackle effect and i am not sure whether this is due to the paint or the surface of the manifold..
powder coating of course is a possibility, just wondering what everyone else has done!

Ive used VHT red paint on my previous STi 6 and even though it looks good, its quite bright(more of a orangy colour) But still did a tidy job. Not sure about powdercoating as once it chips you wont stop it flaking after that. Id go for paint personally!!!!

The VHT red does change colour slightly if you cure it in an oven (goes darker red) although as mentioned above, it is a lot more orangey that the OE colour.

Came out looking really nice and still does
