Default Air Intake

Was wondering if anyone know's if you can get a Gruppe M filter for a classic impreza & if so has anyone run one on here?

I ask this because I came from a CTR and had one on that.

I'm currently running a HKS mushroom and dont really like it so am feeling its time for a change to a closed filter like the Gruppe M or Apollo but if there are any better closed case filters out there feel free to let me know.

I'm not sure they do a Gruppe for the Classic, i had one on my M3, just for the sound.

Here's one for a MY01 up, i wouldn't advise buying from the flat4 company due to bad experiences, but as an example.££££££!

It's an obvious point, but it's worth saying: You don't tune an Impreza the same way you do a Civic. It's difficult to help you on the basis of what you (haven't) said about your car but, as a general point, if your Subaru is running the turbo and ECU it came with from the factory, the best induction bits to use are the bog standard ones.

If you bought the car with the HKS on it, the first thing you should probably do is check it's running within a safe performance envelope. If it hasn't been mapped for the non-standard intake tract, the best replacement is almost certainly the standard airbox, panel filter, and associated bits and bobs.

Sorry did forget to mention my car is modified and mapped for its current set up.

Spec:

Apexi power fc & commander (changing to simtek when £'s allow)
2.2forged engine
740cc injectors
High flow parallel fuel rails
3 bar FPR
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Phenolic specers
TD05 20G turbo
HKS Mushroom filter
HKS SSQV
Hybrid GT2 FMIC
Light weight pulleys
Blitz Nur Spec R turbo back 3"

I know you cant tune a turbo like an N/A car I was more after it for the look really and the fact that it wont suffer from heat soak like my current HKS is I'm open to any ideas of closed induction filters just that I remembered the gruppe m for how good it looks.
