VIN Technical Info Resource
Can anyone point me to a site where I can type in a vin and get the model number and other tech spec. I am about to buy a 2000 Sports Wagon and just want to get the spec. BMW have a site where you just type in the chassis number and bingo, the full spec.
I have the vin number if anyone can help.
Thanks.

Welcome. Not sure Subaru have a direct equivalent of the BMW online gadget. However, you can download a copy of the Subaru FAST online parts catalogue from Slipstream_UK's manuals thread (look in the FAQ section). Set that up and type your VIN into it, and it'll tell you everything you need - assuming your car is a UK/European model.

The 'Applied Model' code may be of more use to you. Especially if your vehicle is an import.
It can also be found in the vin plate.
