i own a 2001 bug eye wagon when i start the car i can hear what sounds like swooshing water gargling etc . when i rev it it swooshes more but then stops after around 10 sec. preformance wise it drives just fine, infact its better than our old 2002 wrx saloon. oh and it sounds like its comin from the center console or glove box?

You`ve parobally got a bit of air in the coolant system, The heater matrix is behind the glove box so its probablly when its running through and circulating, Take off your filler cap and check the coolant level, Start it from cold with the cap off and the heater control set to full hot and top up slowly and it should go away, Gaz.

cheers il give that a go in a bit, the day we bought the car on the way home we had steam comin out from the bonnet, when open i noticed the cap on the header tank wasnt on jus sat on top. we bought the car with a full service think they forgot to put it on properly? do you think this could have bin the cause? weve owned it for about 3 months nw and its bin doin this pritty much from the start. cheers again.

do you think this could be something to do with the head gasket? when i opened the tank i noticed lots of bubbles?
