Default Boost creep? After EL manifold, fmic, induction kit

After adding a RCM EL manifold, RCM Induction kit and a Hybrid FMIC - the Power FC seems to have lost control of the boost pressure

After the rempap was sorted, I immediately noticed that the turbo built boost pressure faster than ever before. It is ok at daytime and ~10 degc, but when the temperature drops down below 5-6 degc running WOT cause the boost pressure to rise rapidly - until the ECU cuts fuel at 1.5 bar. The limit is 1.3 bar.

I've tried changing the boost solenoid duty cycle, but this has no effect. The solenoid is a 3 port IPD TCV

The turbo is a VF29. Can anyone confirm that a VF29 with a high flow inlet and exhaust can suffer from boost creep?

Hello matey,

Have you not upgraded the fuel pump?

Something like a Walbro 255 etc?

After porting the wastegate port twice (didn't open it enough first time), the Power FC is able to limit/control the boost pressure:

However, it has happened numerous times that the PFC boost control goes haywire. After a WOT run, I can hear the boost solenoid clicking as soon as I touch the throttle. When it is in this mode, PFC altso starts cutting fuel too early (before reaching the target 1.3 bar). If I turn the ignition off and on again, the solenoid stops clicking. What gives?

Tempted to back to a TurboXS MBC, as the mechanic valve seems to react faster than electronics.

I replaced this (Rallitek Solenoid controlled by PFC):

-with this (TurboXS HPBC):

...and now the boost pressure is rock solid and builds fast, no matter what gear or throttle input
