Default A pillar pod

Ive just purchased an A pillar pod and gauges and was wondering the best way to run the cables to get a switched supply from the dash lights,do i have to remove the dash or should the bottom of the steering column be enough to let me pass the cables down to get a feed?

I also need to run the cables and hoses etc thro to the engine bay but there is a grommit in the drivers footwell i plan to use for this,so i would need to get from the A pillar to here to.

Thanks in advance

If you are looking for a live that comes on when the lights are turned on then the best place I have found is at the cigarette lighter.

Never really looked for a switched illumination feed in the dash so I can help you any further mate, but there is bound to be one on there.

You will certainly find one on one of the stalks.
