Default A/C not working

My A/C isn't working anymore

I had it re-gassed last year after changing the compressor on it, and all was well. But it has stopped working now..........

When I press the A/C button, the compressor doesn't even kick in. (the light on the button illuminates though).

Any ideas what to check?

MY03 STI by the way

Have you used it regulary since the re-gas?

Probably a leak somewhere and the compressor is being held off on the low pressure safety cut-out switch.

No, not used it for quote a while.

Was going to ask if they had low pressure switches, as that's what I was thinking?

Not using it doesn't help either.

There is oil in the system which mixes with the gas and this keeps the seals between joints 'wet' and they don't dry out and loose the gas.

Just running it for 10-15mins once a week should be more than enough to keep it all ok.

Best bet is to get a specialist to check it out.
