Clutch bites high
Hey guys,
Had the Impreza for a couple of weeks now and I'm getting used to it. The big service and brakes have really helped!
I notice that the biting point of the clutch is quite high, is this a sign of it being on its way out?
Its not slipping (yet)
Can the biting point height be adjusted?
Thanks for any help,
Cheers Chris

The pedal height is fine, just the bite.......... only had the car for a couple of weeks and already spent £500.........
I guess a clutch supplied and fitted is at least £350...........
Thanks guys

Subaru Turbo clutches tend to bite higher than other cars I have driven, so it doesn't necessarily mean that it's knackered.
As long as it doesn't start its initial bite towards the end of it's travel then you should be ok for now.
Adjusting the pedal won't actually change the way the clutch operates, it will only change where the pedal is when the clutch fully dissengages and where it is when it starts to engage again... If you lower the pedal too much then gear changing will become difficult as the clutch won't have disengaged properly, even though the pedal is pressed to the floor.
