Default Can faulty shocks lead to "brake judder"???

Hi due to my my2000 sti version6 juddering under breaking I presumed the front disks were warped. So fitted new ebc disks and pads about 2 months ago. The juddering didn't completelty go away and has gradually got worse. Calipers were also reconditioned by godspeed motorsport about 1 year ago so I'm guessing the pistons aren't sticking.
I have now found out my front shocks have a lot of play in them, are knocking and basically knackard. Could these faulty shocks be causing the juddering under braking from the front end??

Yes, but id be surprised if you didnt notice it pulling away etc. Check the top mounts for wear.
