hello all,

any owners of a 2003 shape on here that could confirm the name of the BLACK colour?
is it OBSIDIAN BLACK PEARL like the 06 onwards? or another type of black?
worried about a second hand part matching mine in colour before i buy.

the paint code is 18 L


if you go to halfords or anywhere else, they only really need to know that its a 2003 Subaru Impreza, paint code is 18 L. If they really need to know a name (they shouldn't) its graphite black mica.

but 18 L is the paint code.

 

just re read it and if you are buying a door or somethin off a 2003, the paint is different. never compared like to like, but they aren't the same.

It's a black metalic with good fleck

I thought they called it Black Gold Mica or something like that when I owned my 2003STI

 

My old 02 plate was black with blue flecks and called 'Blue black' presume they dropped that one for the blobeye

 

from what ive found out it seems with each facelift they changed the blacks to other types. *******o's. wouldve saved me a few bob on the second hand bits
