Default Airbag Question?

Hi all.MY98.Shall be fitting a quick release steering wheel in the near future and was wondering if removing the standard airbag wheel has any effect on the passenger airbag in anyway?Many thanks

You will have to complete the circuit for it to still work. I belive this is done by fitting a 3ohm resistor, which cost a few pence. Do a search on 3ohm and you'll se something.

Thanks joey_turbo.Am i right in thinking resistors will distinguish dash warning light and still allow the passenger airbag to be operational as wanted?

I used 2.2 ohm resistors and they worked fine. I'd guess if you've fooled the ABS computer all is well the passenger airbag should work. Unfortunately there is only one way to find out.
