flickering prosport manual boost gauge ?

Default flickering prosport manual boost gauge ?

hi just fitted a prosport manual boost gauge to my sti and the needle filckers on idle once i rev it its ok but once it returns to idle it flickers ? have a got a duff gauge ?

Possibly or a vacuum pipe is lose or off. Any pipe that comes off you intake AFTER the turbo, check them.

Some mechanical boost gauges require a restrictor in their piping to dampen down any flutter with the needle, often incorporated into the t-piece that comes with the gauge.

Yes, I had this.

I replaced my gauge's supplied normal T-piece for a "NoBuzz" T-piece, that, as above, has a small air filter inside which dampens the raw boost pulses down. Needle is now rock solid whether idling, or hooning. No flutter.

The T-piece also prevents the boost pulses from audibly 'rattling' the gauge.

Click on the "Accessories" tab at the right side of the page; T-piece is at very bottom of the page:-

thanks for the replys , the t-piece that comes with it has a small brass insert connected this to the gauge hose but still flickers and buzzes, tryed a revotec manual boost gauge a have and its fine , gonna done some more messing around with the prosport 1 see if a can get it to work properly
