Default Brakes ???

Hi fitted 4 pots to my 1995wrx and now i have a Knocking noise from the front left when braking at low speeds. The brakes also squeal when stopping. I have noticed on the disc that the pads can not be sitting right (picture is drivers side) Have bled the brakes twice and to be honest dont think they are any better than the 2 pots is there something not right. Girlfriend does not like to drive it because of the knocking (not a bad thing )
Thanks Neil

Ideally you will of needed to fit the pads exacly as they where before as they will have become 'shaped' to the disc, which is why they are not contacting flush (i know what i mean ) Basically, you have mis-matched discs and pads. The knock will be the pads moving in the caliper.

The shims are thin plates that fit betwwen the pad and the pistons and prevent squeel, i believe you can get a specific grease that will do the same job.

Itis also possible to fit the calipers upside down, you need to have the bleed nipple at the top, otherwise it is impossible to fully bleed them.

Can just make them out. There is nothing between the pads and pistons
Fitted with nipple at the top.

The best solution would be, new pads and new shims or some of this.

That's a top idea.

May i also suggest the HEL or B F Goodridge stainless steel brake hoses, well worth the money imho.
