Default hi got a heater problem!

Hi yet another newbie! I got a 1996 imported wrx. Problem is recently when it is ticking over and heater is on hot it blows cold even though engine is warm, when you rev a little gradually gets warmer. Initial thought was head gasket but no obvious signs of this. Anyone else experianced this or got any idea whats up with it?? Any help much appriciated. Thanks

Hi, Have you fitted a new rad or pipework, disturbed the cooling system in anyway?

Could be an airlock or a blockage

Perhaps the linkage on the heaterbox is disconnected or the motor/position sensor is corroded or stuck?

Cheers Iain
