just a quick one guys, fitted a hd head lamp kit , dead simple plug and play , it's on a rb5 so it's got the fog relay on cross member, when hd kit fitted fogs not working ....
put the original bulb back in on nearside and hey presto the fogs work again....
do i just need to wire the switched feed to relay before the hd kit , i.e take it from the original loom before it plugs into the hd kit ....

any suggestions will be helpful

 

If it has a fog relay, they probably aren't fogs, but driving lights. Did they used to come on with main beam?

IIRC, the cure is to trigger the relay from the UNUSED headlight connector, you may have to try it on all three wires before settling on whichever makes it work.

 

ok i'll try that , and yes they did come on on full beam!

 

You MAY also have to alter the relay earthing, but tbh I can't remember now, mine is away getting the clutch done at the mo.

 

ok sorted it... cut and rewired the feed to relay to the dip beam wire on original loom , and removed permanent earth from relay and wired to switch earth on orginal head lamp loom
