Full or Semi Synthetic Engine Oil Following Rebuild??
Should I be using full or semi synthetic engine oil following rebuild, this is the 2nd service the cars had since the cars been fully ran in, and I had a garage service the car after 1000 miles of the rebuild.
The rebuild is fully forged 2ltr.
Cheers

Its all coming back now to be honest after you've said that, semi synthetic was used at rebuild in November, ran in, and then at service in March it was Motul Full synthetic.
All sorted. Cheers mate

Your engine's already been fully run in - so now use the best FULLY synth you can afford.
These engines respond well to all premium 100% Ester oils - e.g Silkolene/Fuchs, Millers, Motul, etc - as they remain in grade longer than any other type. Makes sense to use decent stuff, seeing as you now have a nice, fresh build.
