Default Fitting original air box and resonator chamber

After taking my K&N typhoon air filter off and re-fitting the resonator chamber, air box and intake duct, I found that the intake duct wasn't the snuggest of fits to the resonator chanmber that sits in the wing. Should it be like this as I bought the car with the typhoon on so not sure what it was like before. Is there a seal or something thats missing?

Well its basically where the intake duct connects to the resonator inlet, just doesn't seem that good of a fit?

It's just a push on fit and no it's not that snug either. Nothing unsual there.
