Exedy Twin Plate biting point/ gear selection.
I would be interested to hear from others with experience of this clutch.
I have just had a used one fitted to my classic with 6 speed box. The biting point is low to the floor & gears are now more difficult to select. When moving the clutch operates better, no clutch slip & gears seem to select more freely. First gear is the worst to select.
Ideas anyone? Is the clutch knackered?

nope it aint knackered, just takes a bit of getting used to. I have been using one for the past 5 years and when on the move it feels like an oem clutch. very smooth, very progressive and can handle a lot of power.
Starting off, you just have to give it a little bit more beans and let the clutch out in a uniform manner (unless its a drag start). persevere with the clutch as its a great clutch and will see you through some major power hikes without having to worry about whether it will handle it.

Seems like a bit of a comprimise for such an expensive type of clutch although I am glad to hear that I am not the only one. It feels like the clutch doesn't fully disengage when trying to select gears when stationary. I am going to find out if the length of the rod on the slave has anything to do with it.
