Bought a maf off flea bay after getting cel 23. Changed maf and car is still cutting out. I'm now getting CEL 24.

Car runs, but cuts out at low revs and backfires.

Ebay seller claims it was fine (don't they always). Should I clean out the ICAV first? I have carb cleaner & brake cleaner which should I use? and finally is there any difference as I have a spare ICAV but like the maf I noticed a coloured sticker on it. Should I get one the same colour?

Sorry for the questions, just search has showed up no usefull info for cleaning a classic IACV

 

try cleaning the valve first where are u based what year classic is it does it have a green or yellow sticker maf.

 

Based in southend essex.

It's a orange label. Will have a go at cleaning tonight.
