So,why dont newage exhaust systems fit classics?

Default So,why dont newage exhaust systems fit classics?

As title, are the mounting points of the rubbers in different places etc etc ?

Never seen under a newer impreza,only classics

longer system/chassis ??

Because the centre hanger was rotated by 180 degrees.

TSL supplied a pair of brackets for my Group N system, one for New-Age, the other for the classic.

Ive seen a few newages with classic systems and they have come up a little short on the back bumper on some systems aswell

There is 100mm difference in length between a newage and classic exhaust system.

The difference in length is usually in the down-pipe though, the systems are the same length are they not. The main difference from the cat back is as Dunx says, the hangers

cheers guys,so in short,unless you can remove/re-weld the hangers back on dont bother with newage exhausts for classics LOL

i used a full turbo back newage exhaust system on my classic, but kept the ppp backbox, the bracket that bolts to the back of the gearbox is different- so i modified a newage ppp decat pipe to make it fit. its still laying in my shed lol
