Speedo gone mad
Hi Newbie here,
The speedo on my 98 Classic (UK) went mental tonight, It died and then swung upto 110 and then flew past the 160. stayed like this for a mile or so and then went back to 120,- I know i was doing no more than 60 as i sat behind a few lorries. Then as I slowed down to come off the m25 it went back up past the 160 where it stopped the wrong side of the needle. It does move slightly when the ignition is turned on.
If anyone has any ideas or could tell me how to fix it, it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi mate,
Change your clocks over for a new set before you get some other problems, My mate just had the same problem, it eventually caused the car to go into limp mode (Dont know why but changed the clocks and all running perfect again).
On the other hand it could just be the sender but clocks can be bought on here very cheap.
All the best

Thanks for the advice guys, I finally had time to take the speedo out and the needle went back to where it should be and has worked fine since. Hopefully just a glitch!
Cheers
