Default Quick help needed just fitted facelift grill

Hi all just fitted face lift grill and the bonnet will not close i have seen on here that you need to cut the grill any ideas which bit

Did you get the correct grill for the correct version car?

I take it you fitted a MY97/98 diamond mesh (or the MY99/00 honeycomb mesh) one to the MY93-96 early car?

You need to cut away the plastic black area of the grille where it fouls the sticker plate that's attached to the slam panel. It's this that's getting in the way of the bonnet latch mechanism as you close the bonnet down.

When you pop the bonnet again you need "non-sausage" fingers lol to be able to slide a digit in (oo-er!) to move the latch across. If not possible lol, use a screw driver or something long and thin lol...
