Post identify this please

hi fellas i have a 97 turbo 2000. as you are standing at the front of the car, bonnet open drivers side on the face of the suspention pillor the braket that holds a few wire conections to the left on that braket there is a cillinder with a seethrough top any one please tell me what this is

The piece your after in specific is the Boost Control Solenoid the number of nipples on your solenoid will denote how many ports it is if your considering replacing it.

The one in the picture above is a 3 port with the red/orangeish label and the 2 port usually has a green label hope that clarifies.
