Default Spoolup - AFR/EGT/Ignition

VF28, STI V4 engine
Harvey ported manifolds and up-pipe
Power FC ECU

Dynapack, power at the wheels. The engine feels sluggish below 3000 rpm, boost starts to build at 3000 rpm - and by 3500 rpm acceleration is good.

I can't get 1 bar before 3500 rpm, with a VF28 I expected to hit 1 bar 500 rpm earlier? Can it be that the up-pipe supplied by Harvey has a a too wide diameter, hurting exhaust gas speed? Currently mapped to AFR 15 at cruise, 12.5 at 0 bar and then steady change to AFR 11.5 at full load.

How can I get the turbo to spool earlier? Some suggests that the boxer engine prefers a rich mixture to spool up? Also decrease ignition timing to raise EGT to ~800 degc during spoolup?

I'm going to do some runs with logging and experiment with the map, but it would be nice to know in which direction to go.

if the uppipe diameter is larger then this will lose you spool,

you could try a little leaner on spool but I'd be more inclined to try richer and more ignition advance.
