Default Problems starting when engine warm

95 STI - Engine starts ok from cold, but if I turn it off once it has got upto tempreture and try to start it again, it is as though the battery is out of charge, with the starter motor barely turning over. Once it cools down it seems to free up and starts ok. Not sure if its the starter motor which isnt efficient when warm or whether the engine tightens up when warm - any thoughts/comments welcome.
