Default Boost issues.

I have tried to put the car back to normal. Baisically My car when i bought it it had a superchips chip a turbosmart BOV and a turbosmart manual boost controller......The idiot who owned the car before me had it boosting up to 1.8 bar on a standard wrx (td04). Now they have all been removed. Now only has an induction kit which will be removed very soon.

I have vacuumed up the boost solenoid to standard, checked the vacuums everywhere, checked the pil in the vacuum from the turbo housing.............. But it still boosts all the way up to 1.5 bar and over, and keeps on going ( i think ),

Im not stupid, i wouldnt ever treat a car this way but i cant understand how to get it to boost at stock. Unfortunatly my knowledge is limited bubt im sure some of you have a vast knowledge about this and can help.

Cheers Lads

No, the car had a turbosmart manual boost controller fitted between the vacuum from the turbo housing to the actuator vacuum but now i have taken out and put a t peice in place of it and ran another vacuum to the solenoid

It seems strange how its back to normal and still boosting at well over 1.5 bar.

When the controller was fitted, after i found out it was boosting at 1.8 i turned it right down, it was then boosting at 0.8 - 0.9 bar which i believe is stock.

Now i have taken it out the equation????

Would it make a difference if the vacuum lines going into the solenoid make a difference if they were reversed???

couldntt see the possibility of that happening. The heat shield bolts are pretty old and corroded.Looks as if they have never been removed.

Im running out of ideas, replaced the vaccum hose between the turbo and the T peice, cleaned the pil and put back together.
