'94 WRX - cone to stock airbox noob help req. pls.
After having a slight running problem when my open cone filter gets slightly damp from the water using the drain hole in the bonnet vent covering plate i bought a stock airbox from Ebay and this is where i need some help/advice.
My current setup looks like this:-
I could do with a picture of a standard airbox setup for a pre facelift but here is my queries anyway...
Is the gauge and whatever its attached to (Fuel Pressure Regulator??) standard fit and if so where should it attach? Note there is also a black pipe from below the gauge as well.
I require the bolts that attach the MAF(?) to the airbox and also the bolts that the 2 mounting brackets on the airbox are using to attach to the inner wing positions....anyone know what size/type they are?
It has a used filter element fitted thats looking dirty, what new filter element would you fit instead?
Any links to cheap places to buy from would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help.

The fuel pressure reg (with gauge) is not standard. Its an add on.
This is the standard set-up.
As said if its been remapped Id get it checked out before changing things, but don`t suppose it would do a great deal.

If u don't get any joy on here - A few suggestions;
Could you not just get a longer hose to extend the cone etc away from the drain?
Bob over to Woodvale rally 2moz n seek advice from people on LADS stall (Lancs and district subaru) i'm guessing you're a member already?

Thanks all.
Dont know if moving the filter will do much, it looks like it drips right in the middle-left of the filter as your looking at it from the front of the car so would need extending out quite a bit.
Fair trek to Woodvale by the looks of it and i'll only have a little time to get it fitted tomorrow as other things to do.
Looks like i'll have to lash up the FPR then, maybe tie wrap it to the intake pipework near the MAF if i cant get it bolted anywhere. Thats if i can get it bolted down and the MAF attached as i dont have the bolts for either.

OK been having a battle with this this morning, cant seem to relocate the FPR to an alternative location as the fuel hoses attached to it dont allow much movement.
In the meantime i'm lashing up a small funnel with a hose on the end to direct the draining water away from the cone filter and attached this to the draining plate with some clear silicone sealant.
What does the Fuel Pressure Regulator do exactly (keep the fuel supply constant i'm assuming?) and is it really required as its not fitted as standard?
I'm thinking i might book it into Cotton Comp Subaru specialists to get them to remove the FPR and fit the airbox.
