Default Problem with boost???

Hi all, my 94 classic wagon has just developed a problem (today) when i put my foot down it comes on boost ok but it gets to around 0.8 bar (on the boost guage) and then it feels like it hits the rev limiter all of a sudden and drops power? The car will normally boost to 1.5 bar no problem. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? I'm thinking along the lines of a split hose or lose hose/pipe but i'm not sure where to start looking tbh. The car is quite low on fuel (just under a 1/4 of a tank) but i personally dont think this will be anything to do with my problem.

All advice and suggestions will be more than welcome, cheers Rich

Yea after hours of going over boost pipes splitpin ( TOP BLOKE On SN) on here help diagnosis to the NPS car was right as rain

its a momentry switch so if you have a multi meter set it to continuity ( the beepy one lol ) not sure wich way round but in gear will either beep or wont or visa versa

Is it a case of removing and replacing the sensor or just taking it out and cleaning it up with some electrical contact cleaner??

Well i had the old girl apart yesterday and couldnt find any split hoses, i changed the plugs for ngk-r's platinum and it does feel alot better but still not as good as it was, the intercooler looks proper minced so i'm woundering if this could be adding to my problems too, i've still to try the sensor that trell suggested but i never got time to have a look yesreday as while i was looking for split hoses i noticed the steering rack gaitor had split so i changed that aswell, lol.
