I wouldn't mate.

You want some proper hubcentric spacers, not just the generic type. It isn't safe shortening the studs at all.

I'm in the process of removing my 5mm ones, as they made the wheel nuts come loose, and gives me wheel wobble at 70mph....the wheels are perfectly balanced too.

I'm putting some 15mm Hubcentric H&R ones on.

I had 5mm and 10mm H&R spacers with extended studs and had no problems with wheels studs or wobble on my blob-eye

Won't you get the same number of turns? you are bound by the thread pitch and the length of stud remaining?

7 turns minimum for sure, I had to knock all my studs out and replace with extended ones..... that was something I wasn't expectig to have to do LOL

i would imagine what wheel you are using would make a difference on how many threads you get ?

maybe a little bit but not 3 whole turns worth.... I shouldn't have thought LOL. If you only get 4 turns with the noraml bolts you will only get 4 turns with any other bolts.

i know the studs wont make a difference but the wheel manufacturer will have an impact as not every wheel will be exactly the same thickness at the hub of the wheel i would assume.....any-how i will find out 2-morrow lol

LOL I would think if they are the same offset wheel etc then it will all be much of a muchness and you'd have the same issue.

What wheels are going on ?
