head Gasket or not?
Hi guys any advice will be greatly appreciated,
i took my cars to one of the boys to check a job he did the bottom radiator pipe and hose i think, when he asked about the amount of water i had put in over the past week because the scooby's are *******s to bleed, i had been putting about 1litre to 1.5litre in every 36 hrs ish, so he checked it with a block tester which goes in the water tank (i never seen one before) and the fluid turned from a dark blue to a light ish green, does that mean my head gasket is on its way out? Any info would be grateful as im gutted now! thanks

meaning
it can mean you have combustion chamber gasses in your coolant
its not the be all and end all of diagnosis though, get a specialist to look at the car-although if its blowing the coolant out it doesnt sound good
but worth checking thermostat, rad cap, airlocks etc first-as its an engine out job do do the h/gasket[s] then you may as well do belt, pulleys, clutch and a wee freshen up[depending on known history-can be costly.
but get a subaru man to look at it
