Default 02 sti aircon

hi all - had regass about 6 months ago with air con and its not too clever, when car gets going its coolish but not cold if you get my drift,i am wondering if when i replaced my auxillary belts i may not have tightened the one that goes round air con pump/pully enough ? could this be poss as i can twist the belt allmost a quarter of a turn, should this be tighter and would this cause it to not be as effective ? it was fine when regassed and if there was a leak wouldnt it not work at all

Either slack belt (most probable)... or failing compressor(?)

Does the cannister have an inspection window at the top? If so, a handful of bubbles is fine. If a lot of little ones, or none at all, then either a leak needs to be traced, or a re-gas is needed.

well i have retightend my belts up with no real difference and have even cleaned out my cabin/pollen filter just to dismiss them,so its either a leak or compressor thats gone, how long does the gas last if all is ok in the system and is it really cold in newage scoobys anyways ?

My aircon pipe was worn through at the plastic clip on the chassis rail, passenger side near the strut turret.

It all leaked out, then it passed a vacuum test, but leaked as soon as subject to pressure.

Replaced, but if I'm swapping engines, I'm going to clean out the cores of the aircon, rad and FMIC, plus the oil cooler....
