EML light came on

Default EML light came on

my EML light came on got it checked out its a cam shaft sensor . is it hard to change and has any 1 else had these?

bugeyes have very tempremental sensors it came on with mine pull the lead off clean the sensor put plug back on reset ecu bobs you uncle was with mine anyway never been on since touch wood

usually hapens when you hit the rev limiter........the Denso ECU gets fooled and throws an error because of crap sensor. It will go out after 5 starts then remember to keep the revs down LOL

--- double post ...... as mentioned the light will go out by itself as the ECU is just flagging up a problem and does not consider it terminal.

shoudnt cost 40 pounds someones taking the pish go to a local garage they did mine for nought

Had it changed on my 00 classic its right at the front of the engine at the top of the block, should be well easy cos you don't need to even move the alternator normally... But on mine it was a complete t**t (surprise surprise!!) as it had managed to corrode itself to the block so it came out in lots of tiny bits... GRRRR!!

....Anyway mine cost £159 +vat from scoobaru so if you can clean it i'd give that a go first IMHO...
