Default Transmission

I have recently noticed that when changing gear down from 5th to 4th it really is not smooth and makes a bit of a crunch this happens when driving at higher speed like 60mph, the problem isn't apparent at lower speed. I have a year 2000 wrx sti. Any ideas, is it the gearbox, clutch???

It could be synco gone or myabe clutch on its way out. Are you pressing the clutch all the way properly?

Sounds most likely, any ideas on how much it will cost to resolve & how difficult the work is??
