Default classic decat + scoobyecu likley to overboost?

hi folks,

if i fit a decat downpipe to my 93wrx with scoobyecu is it likely to overboost or spike?
im told the scoobyecu has room in the map for a decat but im not sure if this means it will still be able to control the boost properly.
i guess the only way to be sure is to fit a boost gauge right?
the last thing i want is for it to hit fuel cut or spike and cause det.

As you said get a boost gauge. If it does overboost then you need to adjust the boost with a controller. I've never really had problems with overboosting after fitting on a decat downpipe on any of my Impreza's, on standard ecu. Good to keep a eye on it though.

When I had a full decat on my WRX with the scoobyecu it never overboosted once.
