Default Converting V1 coils to V3,4 single coil

Hi I'm looking in to converting my V1 UK turbo from 4 coil packs to using a single one found on V3 & V4. Has any one cared this conversion out and are there any wiring diagrams out there?

Yes, works v well.
I could type out how to work it out but maybe easier if I take some pics of wires or find colours on my own car.

4 newage coilpacks £60 from the breakers. No big cost and will run many horses.

For the mounting; on my car we made two small brackets that are bolted to the throttle body and alternator using the existing bolts (they were thin enough so they fitted under the bolts, sort of like a washer). The brackets are not much more than L-shaped strips of metal with holes at each end. The single coilpack is therefore mounted in the centre of the manifold using 2 of the possible 4 mounting holes it has.

I was thinking of using the V3,V4 inlet manifold but i think you have to modify the wiring on the TP sensor?

sorry, I cut the tails off the coilpacks..

red on 98 to red of 96 (all four).. yellow to 2 yellows and blue to 2 yellows.. using the plugs and leads I have cut on 96 coilpacks anyway..

Strangly the ecu triggers are then coloured different to each other and the 12v is yellow from the ecu..

Simon
