Hello matey,
Do you have EcuTek at present or OE map? You can use two maps on EcuTek.
I was going to go this route but then went for Simtek. Much easier as it's at the flick of a switch.

If it has a EcuTek flash why not pay the £150 or what ever it is to get dual map? Think it is via the A/C switch or side lights and some right pedal to switch.
What other mods mate too if adding Meth? I don't want to **** on your fire so to speak dude but if your running standard-ish no point I say.
I run 5ltrs of the stuff so around 7/8% meth (if my maths is right?) but thats on my Simtek with V-Power/Meth but mostly use 95/97 or Tesco 99 for lower boost map as for everyday use.

hi mate its never been ecutek'd
(i was under the impression the ecutek wasnt 2 maps but 2 boost setting i.e high and low)
but im using an avcr so dont need the 2 boost settings
my mods are (321T/headers/fmic/lateral flowed injectors/decat/avcr etc
im happy with it just want to get the 2 maps and this would seem the easiest option

Hmmmmm I have no idea mate? Think your right on the high / low map.
Pretty much same as my mods. Before I went FMIC I was making 411bhp & 375lbft with a bit of meth in the tank that was on EcuTek.
Following changing to FMIC & Simtek and still on a Sports cat I made 453bhp & 386lbft!
Simtek is so much better over Ecutek map for smoothness etc. With the switches it's a doddle.
My point is matey is it not worth saving the money for a ECU where you can switch between fuels etc.

i am saving up but at the mo money is quite tight
so this is a great option and it takes two minutes to switch over maps (simtek would take about a nano second)
but with my laptop i can quite easily switch maps

Ecutek has twin full maps on certain ecu models.. depends on the rom file used etc.
There is then the boost switching maps as well.
The only issue with the map switch when going between fuels is that there is no indication which map you are on.
