brought a f+f boost gauge few weeks ago. finally installed it today but struggled to connect the wires for the illumination. un-sure of what is live, neutral and earth.

the colours are Black
Orange
White

i think black is live, orange is earth and white being neutral.

Hmmmmmmmm.
My guess would be black=earth.
Then white or orange= lighting, orange or white = power.

 

its 3 cables, like white on its own and orange on its own. thats what has puzzled me.

dont really want to just set it up incase i blow the illumination bit.....

 

Aren't the wires either labelled, or have a colour code referenced in the fitting instructions?

 

nope. i got it 2nd hand. but its in mint condition. im sure ill get it to work soon enough. just fort maybe someone on here may have one the same.
