inlet manifold
would a 1994 wrx inlet manifold fit my 1999 type r? engine coming out for rebuild soon and wanted to refurb this at same time an my mate has one done already just different year! or anyone know how easy it is to refurb my own and get nice paint finish? many thanks
why would you want to do that?? you would need some of these,http://www.carldavey.co.uk/product.php?id=16 then you need to sort out the ICV
Ithink I have a good 98 type r inlet manifold in red - real good comdition too. I couldn;t use it cos the engine was fitted to a 95 wrx. I will have a look for it, not sure it will go on the 99 tho
Did it have the coilpack in the centre of it, rather than to the passenger side? If so then that IM won't fit onto a 1999 heads.
No a 94 inlet wont fit a 99 car. Not only will you have wiring loom issues, but the manifold wont physically fit. It's too narrow and the bolt pattern to the heads is different. Just refurb your exisiting manifold it's a doddle to do.
