Exclamation Car won't start turns over but nothing

Hi we have a totally standard MY99 classic Scooby, moved it out of the drive this morning and parked it up to get my car out and an hour later won't start.
It's just had a new MAF sensor, new cam-shaft sensor and i've reset the CPU.
It was on diagnostics the other day at Power Engineering which is why thes eparts were replaced.

I must admit i don't think i heard the fuel pump buzz when i started it up but then it's possible the system could already be primed ?

Any help would be appreciated all.....

hi mate i had the same problem with my MY99 classic scooby, drove it about, came home, parked it up and next morning would turn over but not start..turned out to be the immobliser stuck on cutting the fuel pump!! The auto electric dude said the standard sigma alarm that these comes with always play up and are sh1te! so its worth a try to see if you can hear pump if not i put a live feed(from my bass box in boot)to the RED/BLACK wire on the pump which bypassed the immobliser and started the car (then i called the auto electric man out to take the alarm/imobb off and never had trouble since!

anyway hope any of this helps

cheers jay

It is "not possible for the system to be already primed". These engines don't have a fuel rail pressure sensor so the fuel pump should prime every time you turn the ignition on - without fail.

As such, if you don't hear the fuel pump, then either the pump's failed or you have a problem with the power supply to it, so that gives you a direction to start the investigation.

As above the immobiliser and/or alarm is another potential cause.

Thanks guys for the prompt response, you might be right about the immobiliser....and i did think about the fuel pump as well. I know a local mechanic whose Honda trained and he's always been very good so i might see if we can get the car to him for investigation and let him know about these 2 points you guys have mentioned.
Thanks again.
