Default Cutting out issue

Not my car a mates....The car is a V2 RA, the problem is.....With the MAF connected the car runs for a few seconds then cuts out but if the MAF is unplugged it idle's..

So far checked for fuel issues, the AFPR holds good pressure, tried atleast 3 different MAF's, 2 different ECU's.....really stuck on this on.

Can anyone think of something it could be...

Does the car drive ok. Is the problem it just wont tick over. Try adjusting the tps. Description is a bit vague.
