hope someone can help
Ive just recieved a K&N 571i induction kit for my V3 WRX (part no 57-0319), turns out by the pictures its for the pre-facelift (bad advertising!!). after a call to K&N, they think i have the wrong part, but then it was a girl who clearly didnt know anything other than what her computer was telling her.
Now does anyone know if i can still use this kit? are there any major differences between the kits? is it just a fitting issue?
any help would be appreciated
thanks

There are a few things here that need clarifying:
You say you have a V3 WRX? What year? Because the V3 IS pre-facelift, facelift came in with the V4 iirc.
Secondly, why do you want an induction kit? Is the car running over 350 bhp? If not, a decent panel filter is FAR better for it.

If you have an induction kit for a 96MY car (i.e. angle entry turbo) and actually have a 97MY (front entry), no, it won't fit. However as Alcazar has said unless it's already significantly modified (and you have an aftermarket ECU) the best thing you can do with the induction kit is return it and get a refund.
In some ways them sending you the wrong part has done you a favour.
