Boosting issues.help!
Can anyone help.car is a Wreg turbo 2000 wagon with ppp and TD05 H turbo.when the car starts to boost from 3k to 4k it seems fine but after 4k it's doesnt want to pull at all and try's to back off.I thought that the actuator had gone so i've just fitted an adjustable forge one and the problem is still there.Any ideas/info would be excellent as really dont know where to go from here.cheers

You say this is a 99/00MY UK car with a TD05 turbo and a PPP. First and obvious question: Are you sure it's a TD05 you've got?
If it's still running the unmolested PPP ECU, the car should have a TD04 turbo in it. Has it been properly remapped for the bigger one? If not, you're going to have all sorts of problems, and an adjustable actuator (or similar method of nibbling around at the edges) is not going to be a fix.

Yea it's definetly a tdo5 h.I've only owned the car 2month's and it's been running spot on and would boost perfect. So i'm guessing it had been setup properly as it was only last week the problem began. The only thing i've changed is the actuator cheers

You can actually see TD05H embossed on the compressor cover? Do you know this car has received an EcuTeK remap and is therefore set up properly for this turbo (and any other mods)?
If you don't, the best advice is to have the car looked at by a TeK mapper or competent Subaru specialist. If you are running a TD05 on a PPP ECU, your car will not be running "spot on", however it might feel from behind the wheel.
We have no way of knowing, for example, whether the "backing off" you are describing is a result of the ECU pulling timing/IAM in response to significant levels of detonation, a failing airflow meter, or a dodgy coilpack.
We can't help you under these circumstances - you need someone to check the car out.

Cheers for the info chaps.I'll start looking for someone close to home and see what they come up with.Am i rite in thinking ecu tek is a aftermarket ecu or is it just a remap to the current ecu.Could my ecu be remapped?

EcuTeK is a remap of the original ECU. If you have a PPP ECU, yes, it could be remapped, if it hasn't been already, but for economic/financial reasons your best option would be to sell it as it is, buy a standard replacement and get that custom mapped.

Steve Simpson (aka Steve Rally on here) isn't far from you and I believe he does Ecutek - might be worth giving him (or TEG Sport) a shout.
