trying to hunt down an exhaust leak...

is it ok to start it up for a few seconds with the I/C off, should i cover the inlet with some mesh or something or would that be more risky than nothing?

Why you taking it off? Yoc can see around the turbo ok with it in place.

I dont think it will run because there will be no air going through the MAF.
