Hi, been having a few boosting issues, ie uneven when cold, hesitation when accelerating or under load etc...... Changed Plugs, cleaned MAF, changed Airfilter to a K&N panel one and gave engine a good service. In between i found a chavtastic Boost controller had been fitted by the previous owner for some unbeknown reason. This had 2 long pipes attached from turbo and wastegate and had bypassed the standard solenoid as well as removing the restrictor pill too! I have just purchased 2 pipes/clips and the correct T-piece and restrictor from Subaru, cleaned the Boost Solenoid and returned to stock setup. Removed battery overnight to reset ECU and drove properly up and down gears/boost range for the last couple of days and....... Hey Presto she now boosts evenly, peaks at just around/over 1 bar (as per boost gauge fitted) and drives perfectly when either cold or warm! Total result or what?
