Default stuck exhaust valve

Hi all,

I have a problem with my 2002 sti type uk.
It has been into the garage and they tell me that tree cylinders are running at 150psi and the other one is at 52psi. They have done other tests and think it is the exhaust valve.

The questions are, has anyone else had this and can it be solved on the car, or do i need to have the heads taken off and sorted out. If the latter is the only option, can anyone suggest a reasonable garage in the essex area.

Cheers fellas.

If the exhaust valve is stuck open, as it must be to lower the compression, I'd honestly think it will be a heads off job.

I would expect it to be burnt rather than stuck...

IMHO.
