Default Weird noises - water pump failure?

Hi guys,
here are two movies of my car at the moment. It's making strange noises and leaking water from underneath (somewhere just behind one of the header pipes).

Someone with a skill of diagnosing problems over the internet?

Sounds like air in the water system.

The leak - could be from the lower radiator to block pipe or thermostat at the front n/s of engine, or one of the water / heater hoses from engine to bulkhead.

I've managed to investigate some more.

The sound was from the timing belt touching the cover.

Still not sure about the leak though. If I compress the lower big hose some more water drops out. But it doesn't seem to be from the hose itself, it's further back.

Tomorrow will try to remove the timing belt cover to get a proper look at the water pump.

Any great tips on how to remove the timing belt cover in the middle? There's a pulley in the way that has to go off..

Exactly as you say - the pulley has to be removed. not a HUGE job - put it in 5th gear with teh brakes on, then undo with a long bar
